How Do We Acquire the Free Radicals That Are Aging Us?
One of the most plausible theories on aging is based on the accumulation of damage caused by Free Radicals, which are basically unstable molecules (a few electrons missing in orbit). Free Radicals and the Human Body

The best way to fully comprehend what free radicals are is to look at them from a cellular level in that the human body is made up of all kinds of cells.
Cells are comprised of various types of molecules and these molecules consist of one or more atoms of one or more elements held together by a chemical bond.
An atom is made up of a nucleus, proton, electrons, and neutrons and where the amount of protons (particles that are positively charged) in the nucleus is what determines how many electrons (particles with a negative charge) will surround the atom.
The role of the electrons is to manage chemical reactions that occur inside the atom as well as the substances that makes the atoms form molecules. Much like planets, electrons revolve around the atom in one or more shells.
When two electrons fill the innermost layer it is considered full. Once the second shell is full, the process stats all over again.
The number of electrons in an atom’s outer shell id the most important structural characteristic.
Maximum stability is reached when the atom has a full outer shell. This is the ideal condition every atom seeks to attain and is achieved by the following conditions:
Picking up or dropping electrons that will either occupy or leave the outer shell
Bonding together with other atoms and sharing electrons to complete the outer most shell
The typical way an atom achieves maximum stability is sharing electrons with other atoms. This allows the conditions to for the atoms sustain the molecules in the most efficient way.
Often, the bonds that the atoms form remain in tact so that maximum stability is maintained. However, when these bonds do tear, the highly unstable free radical is born and swiftly seeks to make itself more stable.
Free radicals like to attack by locating the closest cell that has maximum stability and begins to steal electrons. Eventually these attacked molecules become free radicals themselves. The process will continue until eventually cellular damage occurs.
Free radicals will frequently arrive during metabolism and sometimes the body will even produce them to fight off viruses and bacteria. Free radicals also come from pollution such as radiation, cigarette smoke, and pesticides.
Typically, the body is able to handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are unavailable, or if the free-radical production becomes excessive, damage can occur. Most importantly is that free radical damage accumulates with age.

I was very disappointed when I found out about the acai berry scam. It bothers me a great deal when unscrupulous supplement companies get greedy and destroy the reputation of something that could be so beneficial to so many people! A similar scam took place with wu yi tea.
We are all working so hard these days to make money in a poor economy, and when we try to take a proactive approach to our health, we do not want to lose money on a scam. Yet, it is more important now then ever to be proactive about our health because many of us cannot afford hefty doctor bills. So, how do we obtain acai berry supplements or any supplement without risking being scammed? Be informed, be aware!
The acai berry scam works similarly to the wu yi tea scam. A person is lured in by a free trial offer with only shipping charges to be charged to their credit card. Who does not want something for free? Of course, it is not and the person has just signed up for an auto shipment program!
Next, they receive charges on their credit card for acai berry supplements that have yet to arrive. Some of the acai berry scams are not even shipping anything, just charging for more supplements!
The biggest problem arrives when the person tries to call and cancel the auto shipments and receive a reimbursement. Often times, they are placed on hold forever only to be told that they will not receive a credit unless they send back the free acai berry trial. There is little they can do and many report that the acai berry companies continue to charge their credit card until the customer gives up and cancels their credit card.
You could stay clear of the free trial offer, but that would eliminate acai berry companies that truly are good companies who are using an age-old marketing tactic that allows you to try before you buy. There are easy ways to spot the difference.
Make sure you do two things: Read all the fine print and call the company to verify that you will not be receiving any future charges past the shipping charges. Make sure you get the name of the acai berry representative when you call.
If you cannot reach anyone at the acai berry company in a reasonable time or there is not even a phone number, chances are the company is fraudulent and you have saved yourself from being scammed. Calling is a simple thing to do, so do not take any chances!
Amazon sites and other reputable companies with backing from entities such as the Better Business Bureau are usually your best bet. The acai berry scams should not scare you away from the amazing benefits of acai berry supplements!
