Make Your Life A Long And Healthy One Via A Colon Cleanse Diet

Next to cancer of the lungs, colon cancer is responsible for majority of the cancer deaths in the United States and it is easy to understand why. Over the years, food technology made rapid advancements that undoubtedly boosted how the food man eats tastes, but not all these are exactly good for man’s health. In fact, more often then not, man’s diet today consists of harmful substances that attacks the body and affects the system negatively. These negative effects could give rise to many different diseases.

Some examples of these terrible foods that violate the body are meats with ingredients such as preservatives, hormones and antibiotics, hydrogenated oil, refined sugar, white flour, high fructose corn syrup, white rice and pasta and a lot more that you would not expect to be killing you slowly already. The toxins and congestion’s produced by these foods need to be immediately removed from your digestion system through the cleansing of the bowel.

A person who regularly makes bowel movements is actually healthy. It is good to make at least one bowel movement a day. If you are not achieving this, then you are well on your way to a disease. At the present, one of the most common problems associated with bowel movement experienced by many is constipation. This takes place when the fecal matter’s stay in the bowel system is prolonged, resulting in their fermentation. When this happens, they are reabsorbed by the system and they decay. This gives refuge to a would-be breeding ground for dangerous, even deadly diseases such as colon cancer.

A colon cleanse diet is best done to detoxify and therefore prevent the foregoing from happening to you. The process by which toxins are neutralized or removed from the body as well as other unwanted congestion’s in it is what we call detoxification. This is done through a healthy lifestyle and a colon cleanse diet.

When you refrain from drinking alcohol, caffeine, sugar, toxin containing drugs and food that contains harmful chemicals, then you are already having a colon cleanse diet. It would also hasten the cleaning process if you will also stop from using tobacco. The intake of probiotics along with a colon cleanse diet is very ideal. This makes possible the replenishment of the intestinal flora. Fruits and vegetables are mainstays of a colon cleanse diet. Cooked and processed food should be lessened in order for mucoid plaque not to form in the digestive tract.

If however you are already having problems with your colon and plaques and toxins have already formed in it, all it not lost. You can still make use of the cleansing diet for your colon to make possible the slow elimination of the toxin build up. It may take some time to fully remove the plaque that has already formed but it eventually will if you will commit to eating only the healthy diet and live a healthy lifestyle starting now.

Colon Cleanser Review – Colon xR

March 25, 2009 by Jesse M

Colon xR is another of one the many colon cleansers to hit the market. While their website says that it is a “new” and “advanced” formula, there’s not much that makes it particularly better than other options that you have. This Colon xR review will briefly look at the ingredient profile and then focus mostly on the business practices used by Colon xR to help you decide if you want to do business with them.

As already mentioned, Colon xR claims that they have some advanced formula in their colon cleansing product. But the supplement facts revealed a rather ordinary combination of high fiber-based ingredients. Don’t get me wrong, the ingredient profile looked good and is likely to be effective, but it’s certainly nothing like what Colon xR makes you try to think it is.

When I started to look into the company behind Colon xR, red flags started popping up. SFL Nutrition, LLC, located in Florida is that company. A quick search with the Better Business Bureau gives some information about the company. They currently have an F rating. Even more telling than this rating are the number of unanswered complaints recorded by the BBB. They had an astonishing 3,003 out of 3,502 complaints that went unanswered. Needless to say, this paints a pretty ugly picture for the company’s business practices.

Another red flag that I saw was their scammy free trial offer. I’m quite used to seeing these now, and so I quickly looked at their fine print in their terms and conditions. Just as expected, the fine print detailed an autoship program that you are automatically enrolled in when you get the free trial. If you don’t call and cancel within 15 days then they will start to charge your credit card a whopping $78.84 every month. Ouch.

The online compliant boards didn’t have much good to say either. I found many posts about customers that were unable to contact the company to get refunds or to cancel the autoship program. Basically Colon xR appears to be getting people’s information and charging their credit cards without allowing the customer to stop the recurring charges. Sounds like your typical scam.

To wrap it up, don’t waste your time or money on Colon xR. While the actual product seems to be as effective as any other, the shady business practices used by the company to scam people out of their money is just horrible.

Colon Cleanse Review – Colovox

March 16, 2009 by Peter Wood

The makers of Colovox contacted me this week to have me do a review on their product. It’s a fairly new product that’s just hitting the market. I was surprised to see them contact me as I would think that most companies (that are trying to hide something) aren’t big fans of the types of reviews that I do. So to see a company open themselves up to review was reassuring. I still went into the review eyes wide open, but was pleasantly surprised and impressed with Colovox.

Like many colon cleansing products, Colovox contains a two-part system for cleansing the colon. It first cleanses the colon of all buildup and then provides the important nutrients that it needs after. This is a pretty standard (and good) way to go about cleansing the colon.

The first thing that impressed me was the price of Colovox, which is really quite reasonable. Colovox is priced at $88. I’ve seen similar products priced in the $120 range. Needless to say, this lower price is a welcomed thing for those looking for a good colon cleanser. And given the amount of ingredients in the product, you’re getting your money’s worth.

I also like that Colovox shows you all of the supplement facts on their products. With some colon cleansers, you’re lucky if they mention a few of the ingredients, but Colovox lists all of the ingredients. They have actually posted a shot of the nutritional label. Because we can see all of these ingredients, we can also see that they include almost 13 grams per serving. This is a large amount, which is good thing. Where other products seem to be skimping on the amounts, Colovox makes sure that you’re getting the amount that you’ll need for it to be effective.

When trying to find information about the company behind Colovox, it was obviously not as easy as others since it is such a new company. What I did find, however, was reassuring. Most comments that I found were positive and I found no complaints about scams, etc. The BBB has yet to have any data on them, but I’ll update my review on my site once I see something.

Another impressive thing about Colovox is their great money back guarantee. You can return your product for a full refund for up to 90 days after your purchase. This is a much better guarantee that most of the products on the market (and way better than those autoship scams in which you have only 15 days or so before they start charging your credit card for more shipments). As far as the marketing goes, Colovox seems to be on the up and up.

For those who are looking for a good colon cleanse product for a reasonable price, I recommend Colovox. So far they give me no reason to believe that they are using bad business practices. They have a good price point and the guarantee is really good.

Dr Floras Review

March 5, 2009 by Peter Wood

Dr. Floras colon cleanse products have received a good amount of attention lately it seems. During my review of Dr. Floras, I too became impressed by both the products they provide as well as the company behind them. This shorter version of my full Dr. Flora’s review will give you a brief picture of what Dr. Flora’s has to offer.

As mentioned, my first impression of Dr. Flora’s was a good one. The site is professional and doesn’t seem to be riddled with hyped up marketing and fake testimonials. I also liked that their site provided a good amount of information on both their products as well as general colon cleansing information such as frequently asked questions, colon related articles, etc.

You’ll find a number of different products when you get to Dr. Flora’s website. A popular option is the Ultimate Kit that provides Dr. Flora’s Colon Cleanse, Cleanse Support, Probiotics, and Parasite Defense. This kit costs $157 for everything. You also have the option to buy each product individually at prices that range from $27 to $57. All in all, the products seem to be high quality and should work as they are supposed to.

An important part of every company (as well as our decision to buy from that company) is their customer service. I decided to test theirs, so I called and acted like an angry customer that hadn’t received his order. I was treated very professionally and politely, something that surely isn’t easy to find nowadays. So as far as customer service goes, Dr. Flora’s gets an A from me.

Their great customer focus didn’t end their however. I was surprised to find that they offer money back guarantee for up to an entire year after the purchase. Not only that but they also allow you to return one opened bottle in addition to all your other unopened bottles. Most other products have guarantees of only 30 to 60 days and do not allow you to return any opened bottles at all.

The good news continued to flow as I searched for Dr. Flora’s with the Better Business Bureau. To my surprise they had a total of two complaints over the past three years. The reason for my surprise is that even good companies will often have upwards of a few hundred complaints. Needless to say, Dr. Flora’s is looking like a company that you can feel good about working with.

A note should be said about other sites on the internet that may appear to be unbiased and in your best interest. I found (as with any product) that some sites that advertised for Dr. Flora’s keywords on google were simply there to push their product and discredit others. So all I’m saying is to be aware of where you are getting your information from.

In summary, I’m quite impressed with Dr. Flora’s. They seem to be a very trust worthy company that will deliver on what it promises and their customer service was good. Their products seem to be effective and their guarantee is the best that I’ve seen. All things considered, Dr. Flora’s gets a solid recommendation from me.

Is there a negative side to green tea dieting?

February 21, 2009 by Collin De Ruyck

It has been said the green tea increases health benefits but scientific proof of its health benefits are still mixed. In an article in the Archives of Internal Medicine, American researchers collaborated with their Chinese counterparts to discuss the good effects of green tea on cholesterol levels.

Out of 200 men and women who recently participated in a case study using green tea. Out of the 50% of the people who implemented green tea in there diet, they recorded losing 15% of their cholesterol levels after only 12 weeks of using green tea in there diets. Researchers told all participants in this case study that nothing in there daily lives needed to be changed. All they had to do was just drink the green tea as directed.

Although the researchers never explained how green tea may influence cholesterol levels. Earlier studies have shown that certain compounds in green tea play a key role in reducing cholesterol absorbed by the body which results in, increasing the quantity of cholesterol excreted, and thus keeping cholesterol from being stored.

Once again, after further testing was done on the first group of participants researchers are stating that the green tea diet had no effect on cholesterol levels, that the participants using green tea lost cholesterol some other way.

The medical community really frustrates me at times. It seems that anything organic does not get the support it should get. Here is an example of what I am talking about.

A few years back my oldest got the worse case of chicken pox known to man. He got in everywhere and there was not a single square inch of him that didn’t have a pox on it. W ended up taking him to the hospital 3 times to try and get him something to help with his pain but the doctors kept saying, there was nothing they could do. Basically, let him suffer until it passes.

I finally took it upon myself to try and find an Aloe Vera plant to try the extract from that. Once I got a hold of one and tried it guess what happened. It worked like a charm and my sons itching stopped with in 15 minutes of me applying the extract.

My youngest son got the chicken pox when he was 6 months old. We had to take him to the hospital just to be safe (6 months old is a bad age to get the chicken pox) and when we were there I told the nurse what we got to work with our oldest boy. She told us she knew that all ready. I asked why no one would tell us and her response was “we are not permitted to recommend organic forms of medicine” I was like…..ok, just let the kid suffer then?

So you can clearly see that the opinion of some doctors is swayed by the opinion of the pharmaceutical companies. I guess if it is not supported by the big pharmaceutical companies then it can’t be good for you right?
