Trouble Finding The Best All Natural Skin Care Products?

There is a worldwide movement towards more natural skin care products. And there’s a good reason for this. There are now millions of women looking for natural skin care and trying to determine which are the best all natural skin care products.
Slowly consumers are recognizing that our cosmetics and personal and body care products as well as many skin care products can contain ingredients that can potentially be dangerous.
For example lead was found in over 50% of big brand lipsticks tested in a recent study.
And it’s fine to be wanting to look better or smell better, but doing that at the risk of our health isn’t smart. Who wants lead on their lips?
As this is becoming more well known skin care manufacturers are recognizing this trend towards natural skin care and anti aging products and natural cosmetics, soaps and much much more. The are recognizing it and looking to enter the market.
Recently L’Oreal has purchased The Body Shop to get a toehold in the natural personal products market.
Back to looking at skin care products. What does “natural” or “all natural” mean for skin care products or cosmetics? No one really knows, there’s no formal definition.
It’s not known what natural formally means, and for this reason there are companies out there marketing “natural” products containing chemicals that most would not consider “natural”.
So if there are still “natural” products out there that we should avoid how do we find the best all natural skin care products?
We’re looking because we want to use the best skin care products that are SAFE to use. We don’t want to use any products that may pose any risk to our health in the process of using them.
So we can, once we know this, use this information to our advantage.
So how do we use this? We find the website for the Cosmetics Safety Database. Here you can search various ingredients used in products and find a rating of their potential health risks.
So you can look at any product and search the ingredients to see if they are considered unsafe to health. You could search “parabens” for example, (a popular chemical preservative) and see what risks parabens pose.
Then search out the website of the Campaign For Safe Cosmetics. There you can find a compact that any company can sign to pledge them to only producing safe products that don’t contain potentially dangerous ingredients. Get there and you can search this to see if the company that makes the products you use has signed.
And if you find a company that has signed the compact you know they have pledged themselves to making safe products.
So that covers safety. How do you know if the company that makes those all natural skin care products actually makes good skin care products? Well the best way I know is to find a company that gives you a money back guarantee on their products. Even amongst the good natural skin care companies getting a money back guarantee is rare.
And once you’ve done your search you’ll find that one company has signed the compact AND offers a full money back guarantee, and it’s that company that makes the best all natural skin care products.
Find out who they are on my website.

Past and Current Concepts Of Beauty

Beauty has been desired by women throughout the ages. Beauty is the thing that attracts men. Beauty opens doors that are closed to the ‘ugly’. Eve of the Old Testament was the beautiful temptress. Delilah and Cleopatra each used their beauty to wield power over men.
Although, women have always wanted to be beautiful, ideas about good looks have changed over time. In Victorian England it was considered a thing of beauty to have milky white skin that would be considered too pale by today’s standards. Girls preserved their paleness by staying out of the sun and limiting the time they went outside. Only the working class who toiled in all weathers had ‘ruddy’ skin which today might be described as a tan.
It is no longer paleness that is considered beautiful. Rather, the opposite has become true with the suntan being a requisite for modern beauty. The sun tan lotion industry is booming as sun bathing is is now an important element of a woman’s beauty regime. If the sun fails then there is always the tanning salon where the same effect can be achieved.
As the European ideal of beauty spread to the New World, it spelled disaster to women of colour who were never able to match up to that ideal. After the abolishment of slavery, black ladies (and men) did everything they could to lighten their skins to look more acceptable and appealing. Is wasn’t until the 1970’s when the concept of ‘black beauty’ was born in the United States that African-American women began to feel more comfortable with their dark complexions.
Today things have changed drastically. Anyone regardless of race can be considered attractive. Indeed, some of the modern beauty icons are black women including Tyra Banks, Halle Berry and Michelle Obama. Beauty relies much more on a clear complexion and youthful skin. There are certain standards that must be reached to possess Hollywood style beauty. These include pefectly white teeth, perfect but understated makeup and a wardrobe to befit.
A female can have the most amazing looking face in the world but if she is heavy then she is not considered beautiful. Since the days of corseted dresses women have sought to be slim or appear smaller than they are in order to achieve optimum looks. Corsets were tied so tight that in some cased damaged the woman’s structure permanently. Today, weight loss pills and weight loss programs have taken over where the corset left off.
A multi-million dollar weight loss industry has been spurned by women’s desires to be smaller and more attractive. Also fashions have also evolved to reflect the smaller beauty ideal. In the 1960’s it was the mini skirt to show of toned legs and thighs. Today it is the belly top with a woman’s midriff exposed to show her flat and toned abdomen.
Age seems to have everything to do with the modern concept of beauty. In order to be gorgeous you must look younger. This is one of the hardest things to keep up with for the beauty conscious individual. There are literally thousands of anti-aging skin care products that claim to help women restore their lost beauty through rejuvenation of young looking skin. Most simply don’t work while others are marginally more effective. For ladies for whom being beautiful is everything, there is always the cosmetic surgery option.

All You Need To Know About Women’s Perfume

The word “perfume” in fact comes from a Latin phrase that means “through smoke.” The people of Egypt and Mesopotamia often burned incense to mollify the gods. Perfumed oils were a very important part of ancient religious rituals. As the Persians and Romans began to refine their fragrances, perfume gradually became something that was not just reserved for ceremonial practices, but for pleasure as well. Egyptian women began to use fragrance on their face and hair. The Greeks would incorporate aromatic oils into their baths. Of course many cultures used perfumes to bury their dead. It helped to cover the smell of decaying flesh and honored the gods as well.
Some of the critical ingredients that were utilized in making perfumes in ancient times were myrrh, juniper, pistachio, fenugreek seeds, and the resin of the Matsic tree. In today’s market, perfumes are derived from a number of diverse sources, such as roots, seeds, leaves, twigs, resins, bulbs, woods, bark, fruits, honeycomb, musk, seaweed, lichens, flowers and blossoms.
Depending on the additives used and the concentration levels achieved, the specification of a fragrance falls into a distinct type. The most popular classifications are Floral Bouquet, Single Floral, Wood, Amber, Leather, Fougere, Chypre, Aquatic, Bright Floral, Green, Citrus, Gourmand, or Fruity.
Fragracnes have specified concentration metrics. A perfume’s concentration level is determined by its ratio of aromatic compounds to solvent (water and ethanol). Perfume extract delivers the strongest scent due to the concentration of aromatic ingredients ranging between 14-38%! Eau de Parfum or Parfum de Toilette is comprised of 8-18% of the aromatic compounds. Eau de Toilette falls one classification down with 4-14% scented compounds. Eau de Cologne stands at only 2-7% of aromatic compounds with body splashes and/or aftershave prodcuts containing just 1-2% of fragrance. The lesser the concentration, the less potent the perfume.
The majority of body products contain some sort and level of fragrance, from skin creams to face cleansers. Even with this true, there are still multiple products on the market whose single reason is to deliver a desirable scent. Perfume oil is the most potent and thus gives off a more intense perfume aroma than anything else. A miniature bit goes a long way. On the other hand, body sprays and splashes are on the opposite edge of the spectrum with just a trace of perfume that leaves a light hint scent. The majority of body lotions also include fragrance so that one is able to moisturize and wash in a pleasant aroma at the same time. It is imperative that you apply a perfume that compliments the smell of your body lotion if you choose to wear them both during a similar occasion.
Specific fragrances respond in a different manner to various body chemistries. Just casually sniffing a perfume container does not convey to you whether it will smell right on you or opposite. To learn if a certain fragrance is perfect for you, spot just a little amount on your skin and let it absorb in. Once the pheromones of your body have combined with the aroma of the fragrance, you should be able to determine if it’s the perfect match for you.
It is also important to consider your mental makeup and likes and dislikes when selecting a specific beauty fragrance. Everything about yourself will go into this selection process, particularly if you plan to use it as your special “signature” perfume.
Since so many emotions can be triggered by any one scent, make sure that the odor you pick creates pleasing ones. Long after you depart any social area, that sweet smell will remain reminding everyone present that you were there. Choose that fragrance wisely.

Top Reasons Why You Should Use Natural Skin Products

When it comes to our skin, we all love it – our skin is certainly something that we need to learn to take care of, especially when you are of the younger generation. In this day and age, natural skin products are becoming more and more popular and there are tons of reasons for it. In this article, we are going to illuminate the top four reasons why people are switching over to natural products versus unnatural and chemical-based products.
In skin, there are tons of different types. For example, dry skin, sensitive skin, greasy skin, oily skin or just a combination of everything. More recently, dry skin and sensitive skin have shone up and that is why these natural skin care products have become so popular. Most of the time, these types of products are tailored specifically to these skin types and they work fantastic.
The environment is another reason people choose natural products. A lot of people are extremely concerned with the state of the environment these days. Their concern is changing the way they shop and what they buy. That goes for makeup and it goes for skin care products as well. A lot of natural products have undergone makeovers, so to speak. They have gone green. So they are great for your skin and the environment.
Chemical-based skin products like makeup are extremely harsh on your skin and that brings us to our next point as to why people are making the switch. Chemicals in general make people look bad and whenever you are dealing with your skin, you want to make sure that you are taking care of everything about it – chemicals can do a lot of harm to your flesh.
There are a few things that you need to think about before you switch. The first thing is the ingredients. There are tons of great and fantastic ingredients in natural products but you might be allergic to them. This is why you need to make sure that you get tested or test the product on your skin before you completely and totally commit to it. That way, you can be sure that you are finding a great product that does not cause you to make out.
Another great feature about these sorts of products is the fact that they are not tested on animals. Many animal lovers have switched to natural products simply because of this fact. No animals at all are tested whenever natural skincare products are bought.
One of the biggest benefits that natural products have is the fact that they do not contain any artificial ingredients and dyes. This is another great reason to get yourself some of these incredible products; especially if you have very sensitive skin. Sensitive skin that is very easily irritated can benefit a lot by these natural products are they are way less harsh.
So it is probably obvious now why you should be using natural skincare products and makeup over unnatural products. Anything that features artificial ingredients really should have no place on your skin and as you will see, once you begin using these natural products, your skin will improve and look fantastic! All it takes is a little research, taking some of these points to heart and you will be using these products in no time at all!
Why Do Japanese Women Have Great Skin? Japanese Skin Care Explained
June 8, 2009 by Peter Albertonach

Every day many women search the internet for the secrets of Japanese skin care.
Yes Japanese skin care is a popular search term. Why would that be so?
You don’t find women searching for “Chinese skin care” or “Rumanian skin care”?
So what is it about Japanese skin care that excites so many women? Lets find out.
The Japanese, or more specifically Japanese women, are known worldwide for their great skin right into old age. They have a lower incidence of wrinkles, for example, as they get older. And their skin just looks great.
Why? What is it about Japan that seems to result in Japanese women having such good skin?
Of course the Japanese have a good diet. They eat plenty of fish, which provides omega 3 oils, known to be good for your skin, they eat plenty of vegetables and rice and overall their diet is very healthy.
And a good diet is very important to healthy skin.
But is there more than just the Japanese diet to account for the great skin that seems so common to Japanese women? After all, theres plenty of other countries where the people have great diets.
Well yes there is another factor that is as responsible for the secrets of great Japanese skin care. It’s one part of the diet.
What has been discovered is that there is a seaweed that is a big part of the Japanese diet that has all sorts of properties that contribute to healthy great looking skin. Its a seaweed called Phytessence Wakame.
It’s well known that seaweed is a big part of their diet, and they have eaten it dried and fresh for centuries.
So is there something about Phytessence Wakame that is good for the skin?
Phytessence Wakame is packed with such ingredients as calcium (15 times more than milk), a whole stack of minerals like sodium, iron, potassium, and a lot of the B group vitamins. It has antioxidants too, all important to the skin. And all of these are highly beneficial to the skin.
But that’s not all, that doesn’t explain exactly why Phytessence Wakame is so good for the skin. There’s something more.
You see there is an acid in the skin called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is absolutely essential to the ability of the skin to retain its elasticity and suppleness. And if youve done any research into skin care youll know that maintaining suppleness and elasticity is one of the essential goals of good skin care.
But there’s an enzyme called hyaluronidase that breaks down your hyaluronic acid, and you don’t want it broken down.
And some very smart scientists have worked out that Phytessence Wakame helps inhibit the effects of hyaluronidase. This is extremely good news for your skin.
That, in a nutshell, is the secret of great Japanese skin care.
And fortunately there is one company that is at the cutting edge of skin care research that has worked out how to isolate the essential components of Phytessence Wakame and put them into skin care products. The results are impressive.
Results like Japanese women get from eating Phytessence Wakame.
You do have an option of finding Phytessence Wakame, if you know where, and eating it. If you want to eat seaweed.
So if youve wondered about the secrets of Japanese skin care, and why so many Japanese women have such great skin, now you know why.
Find out more about these great skin care products that deliver the benefits of Phytessence Wakame without actually eating it on my website.
Its probably pretty chewy anyway.
Not Every Best Age Spots Treatment Delivers on Its Promise

Until recently, the best age spots treatment was the use of a cream containing hydroquinone. But, a safer ingredient has been found. There are several factors that a cream should address to get rid of a heavily pigmented spot or area. Here, you will learn about those factors.
The first thing a cream needs to do is to arrest the production of melanin. Skin pigmentation occurs due to melanin. This pigment helps in protecting the skin from UV rays and also determines the complexion of a person. Melanin is also a detrimental factor in age spots and freckles. Though Hydroquinone can arrest the melanin production, studies have indicated that it may be a carcinogen. Nut grass root extracts are the best melanin inhibitors and they are completely safe.
Root extract is marketed under the name Extrapolate Nut grass and researches have revealed that a concentration of .5% can reduce melanin production by more than 40 %. Concentrations below this level is not very effective. Generally you will need a .5% Extrapolate concentration for in the best age spots treatment.
You can also enhance the cell turn over rate. As we age, the cell turn over rate decreases which actually is the reason why age spots occur. Though most people resort to exfoliants and peels, this method brings a lot of side effects like itching, irritation, redness and other problems in its wake.
The main cause of redness is the inflammation which can harm the fibers and the skin cells. A protein complex known as Functional Keratin can help in promoting the production of new cells which can remove the cells the containing melanin. Functional Keratin is a vital part of the best age spots treatment.
Don’t forget to avoid overexposure to the sun. Ultimately, UV rays from the sun stimulate melanin production, which can lead to a tan, a freckle or an age spot. Avoiding overexposure to the sun is one of the best ways to protect your self from overproduction of melanin, wrinkles and skin cancer. All of which are caused by UV rays.
Many sunscreens are unable to give you sufficient protection from the sun. They also can cause DNA damage which can act as a catalyst for the production of cancer cells. Hence, over exposure to the sun can only be prevented by you and not even by the best age spots treatment.
There are many compounds which cause pigmentation and there are other constituents which inhibit the pigmentation of the skin. Petroleum based alcohols (methyl and ethyl) containing products need to be avoided. These products cause the ph imbalance in the skin and augment fungal infections as well. Dark spots are also caused by them.
Vitamin E is one of the nutrients that are known to prevent the appearance of heavily pigmented areas. So, the best age spots treatment contains natural vitamin E. That ingredient is also known to act as a natural preservative, an important component of skincare products.
Face And Body Moisturizer ” The Facts You Should Know
May 13, 2009 by Kathleen Walsh

We were told for a long time that the best moisturizer for face creams was petrolatum. This ingredient, as it happens is petroleum jelly ” which is not a good moisturizer at all! It doesn’t penetrate into the skin, so it really does nothing to moisturize, it feels greasy and of course, it can do more harm than good since petrolatum can clog pores!
When youre looking for facial moisturizers you’ll want to avoid synthetic chemical ingredients. Even if you don’t have particularly sensitive skin, the ingredients found in many moisturizers can irritate your skin, trigger allergic reactions and some are even toxins! You may not see any visible irritation, but your skin knows the difference and these ingredients are causing damage.
When your skin reacts to these irritants, damage occurs. In the course of trying to eliminate the toxins from your skin, your skin cells and connective tissues are damaged. Chronic low-level inflammation from unnatural skin care products lead to premature aging in skin.
Undeniably, the best facial moisturizer in the world, are those which contain no harmful ingredients. In other words, they are free of toxins, allergens, and synthetic chemicals. Ideally, the best moisturizer for face treatments is the ones containing only natural ingredients, together with antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatory properties.
The best facial moisturizer products contain nothing but natural ingredients which nourish your skin and give it the nutrition it needs to stay healthy and youthful. In young people who are healthy, the outer layer of the skin is entirely replaced about once a month. However, the pace of cell replacement slows as we get older and our skin has a harder time retaining its natural moisture.
It used to be that the best facial moisturizer money could buy could increase the levels of moisture in your skin by only around 5%. Glycerin was the best moisturizer for face and body which you could find. Thankfully, all that has changed and there are better alternatives.
A New Zealand company has come up with a protein called functional keratin. Facial moisturizers which include this ingredient can increase skin moisture levels by more than 20% with a single use! This is a formula which offers a variety of other benefits and is the most effective facial moisturizer available while still being all natural and safe to use.
Unlike most moisturizers, functional keratin produces a long lasting effect on your skin. Even after 24 hours, the skin still has moisture levels which are 20% higher than before using the product. Regular use of functional keratin helps your skin to retain moisture, increasing average moisture levels by 11%.
Functional keratin is the best moisturizer for face and body creams since it helps your skin by helping it to carry out its natural function of cellular replacement. In as few as three days, this product increases the speed of this process by as much as 160%. While you could spend a lot of time looking for the best facial moisturizer, once you find this product, you’ll want to stick with it and enjoy the soft, smooth youthful skin it gives you.
